Biren Mehta is Vice President, Business Development, Johnson & Johnson Vision and Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions Group (CSS). Biren joined Johnson & Johnson in 2008 as a member of the Business Development organization at Biosense Webster and in 2015 expanded responsibilities across CSS. He has provided strategic leadership in executing acquisitions, investments, distribution transactions, and other collaborations to support CSS’s growth and innovation agenda including the acquisitions of Coherex, Neuravi and Pulsar. Biren is a collaborative, Credo-based leader – known for his emphasis on teamwork and partnerships to accomplish business objectives. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Biren was a medical device analyst at Roth Capital Partners. In that role, he wrote and published recommendations on publically traded small and midcap medical device companies. Before joining the investment bank, he worked as a project manager and software engineer at Intralase Corporation, now owned by Abbott. Biren completed his bachelor’s degree in Cybernetics at UCLA. He earned master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California. He also earned his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
