Mark Gaynor is Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Vice President, Johnson & Johnson Vision. Mark previously served as Vice President of Digital and CIO for the Americas at Volvo. While there, he led the transformation of the Information Technology (IT) group to a modern digital organization, managing the change from a project orientation to an agile product mindset. He was responsible for Volvo On Call Subscription across North America and helped launch an innovative direct-to-car package delivery model in partnership with Amazon Prime.
Before his most recent assignment, Mark worked for L’Oreal USA as the head of IT for their Luxury Products division where he developed the technology strategic vision, business plans, strategic roadmaps, integrated acquisitions, and oversaw retail store technology investments. He has also held positions managing Technology for Marketing, Sales and Business Intelligence, demand planning and supply chain intelligence applications, and ERP/MRP systems.
Mark spent the early part of his career with Johnson & Johnson as part of the IT Leadership Development Program, holding subsequent positions in the Cordis, Ethicon Endo Surgery and ITS groups. He holds his BS in Information Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati, and his MBA in Corporate Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Management from Lehigh University.
