What is SILK^™?

Smooth Incision Lenticular Keratomileusis (SILK^™) is a laser eye surgery treatment that offers vision correction for people with myopia with and without astigmatism.*

How SILK^™ works

SILK^™ is a technologically advanced¹, minimally invasive surgical vision correction procedure that may allow people to see the world more freely from glasses or contact lenses.

1: Create

The ELITA^™ laser uses the finest of laser pulses to gently create a small disc-shaped lens, called a lenticule, in the cornea after the eye is numbed.

2: Remove

The lenticule is delicately removed through a microscopic incision.

3: Reshape

The lenticule removal reshapes the cornea, correcting vision so distant objects can be seen more clearly.¹

What to expect with the SILK^™ procedure?
